Trying to figure out the history of this cue, and someone here may know something. I live in Chicago, and this was left at a pool hall for many many months. My friend purchased this, then it came into my possession.

It is a 5/16 x 18 pin, with brown linen collars, birdseye forearm, with some of the same rings. The butt sleeve looks to be rosewood? It is signed "Bobby Williams", and it looks like it was signed in ink pen before the finish was applied. The finish looks to be the same type you find on an old DPK, and one I saw on an old Burton Spain cue. The wrap feels more like a nylon than a linen.

I googled "bobby williams cue" and searched AZ, but all I found was that he was a pro in the late 80's. So either this cue is made for him, or made by him? Seems the pin was common in the older cues. Also, the work doesn't seem like someone mass produced, but moreso made by a small time cue shop?

I was thinking about purchasing a Players HXT 11.75mm shaft and keeping this cue for the work table. I was going to swap my meucci sneaky shaft on there, but I want to keep that cue together.

Anyway, here are some pictures, let me know what you know, thanks!:

Bobby got a lot of scalps with that old cue! You can see the wear and tear on it from all the long sessions he used to play. Bobby was a PLAYER! He's been working NASCAR for the last 15-20 years.
