Ernie's First Batch of Cues!

Hello,

The wait is over, Ernie Martinez has completed the first batch of 3 cues as promised. This is a very good sign and great for pool.

Ernie's Description: triangle tips; melamine ferrules; joint & butt ring work natural linen phenolic; joint pins are my custom made brass 3/8-12; all taper work on shafts and butts are my original specs; all cues are marked with a serial number inlaid under the wrap using apoxy (can be seen by x-ray?) as well as written under the buttcap (shown in pictures). The shafts are 13mm and the weight will be made to your specs between 18.5 & 19.5. Birdseye maple used for forearm & buttsleeve. Letter of authenticity will be included. Price $575 + shipping costs.

Payment will be made directly to Ernie's Business Manager and his info will be provided in the PMs to those that are in the queue. He accepts Visa & Master Card and money orders/cashiers checks only at this time.

Hi Again,

Both Jazz & Viperkiller would prefer one of ernie's cues with points but are committed to buying whatever is available at the time their name is on top of the list. And just to clarify, you have all committed to buy one of Ernie's cues as they become available if it's a plain style cue. The only exception was for those that only wanted a plain cue of Ernie's and couldn't afford a more expensive pointed baby, they could pass over their opportunity without losing their place on the list once a plain one becomes available. If someone doesn't want a plain one, they would have to go to the end of the list unless they could come up with an alternative.

With that said, here's what I propose: Since Sphinxnihps and Brian (Scruggsinhand) indicated that they really like the looks of the cues currently available, I don't mind if people on the list swap their spots as long as I hear from both parties that it's what they want. In other words if Jazz or Viperkiller contacted Sphinxnihps or others on the published list and agreed to swap spots to get an oportunity at one of ernie's cues with points, I would have no objection. I just need to hear from both parties before it becomes official. I hope this will help ease the tension and allow all to get what they want. This solution is also a fair one since everyone will retain their spot and no one would be taking cuts.

If this is OK with you all, it works for me. I'm just trying to make things easy for all.

Ernie Cue

I am interested in one of Ernie's cues with points. I am #3 and will give up my spot to the next person in line if you are interested in the cues that are currently available. If Sphinxnihps or Brian (Scruggsinhand) would like to switch spots please let me and 12squared know. Thanks!

Dave i can see already this topic could get long with you putting that out there!!! A good idea you might want to use is on your list of people is have the person specify what type of cue they are trying to get from ernie...point, plain, etc. you putting that out there is going to cuase you alot of confussion in the future!!:D

I was hoping that those interested would contact the others via PM. I thought of this because of of comments made by Sphix... & Brian. They are under no obligation to swap with anyone, it's just if it would be the right thing for both parties. Hopefully, this will not be a trend and all those on the list will be happy with what is available.

We'll see what happens and go from there.

You are right but remember you are goingto have those slow ones on the list from time too time that are not going to say anything. If you go down your list and list everyone preference on there then they can Pm between themselves! Right now they are guessing who too PM.... If they do not know who to PM guess who they are going to contact!!!.....hehehe...yep You!

You should just solve the problem by telling ernie to make nothing but pointed cues!!:D I would love that!
 
I am on the list or Ernie's cue, I don't mind to have any type of cue when they are available...

cyrus i am the same way!!! ;)

On the other side though i would be pissed as hell if Ernie decided to come out with a high end right on my number!! My Ass can not afford that kind of money on a Marines pay!! If I end up with a plain cue then so be it if i end up with a pointed cues.....that is good.....If something comes out with veneers and inlays I am going to pass it right along too all you rich folk out there!!:p
 
thats why i thought.. you should offer the cue to the first person on the list.. and if he doesnt want it.. he stays where he is at and then the cue is offered to #2, and so on and so on. that way if the people in the front of the line are looking for something fancy, they will have the choice to pass it along.. and then the person who takes it would get removed from the line..

i thought about it and thought about it.. and i would like to be added to the list... thanx! :) chris

Chris, I agree with you 100%! This way everyone will have the opportunity to purchase the cue they want when their number comes up. What do you think about this suggestion Dave? You can make it happen.

I agree about having people pass on a cue and stay in their place. That way us people further down in the list (#30 here) might be able to get a cue earlier that no one else wants. What happens when a pointed cue comes up during my number and I either don't like it or have the funds available for such a nice cue. Anyways, seems like I have a bit of time to save up for a nice pointed cue.
