Regarding the search feature and a trick to use on Google.

Many threads get started each day with the same recurring topics. Some complain that they do not know how to use the search features on the site; which are plenty capable of finding just about anything your little heart desires. For the lazy folks, like myself, I use this trick on google.

In your google search bar type in ( without quotations ) "site:forums.azbilliards.com" followed by what you want to search.

For example: If I want to find purple heart sneaky pete's made from prather cues, I would search "site:forums.azbilliards.com prather purple heart sneaky" and google will show me every result with those words found on this site.

Thanks for this great tip.

site:forums.azbilliards.com

This also works for three letter words/abbreviations, which is a limitation of the AZB search feature. For example, if someone is having trouble finding information on CTE ;), you could use the following search phrase:

site:forums.azbilliards.com "CTE"

I've found that this type of Google search can be very helpful in searching for short phrases, even usernames.

I was kidding about CTE. There is no available information on that topic. But Dave's advice can be very helpful if you're searching for "tip" advice, information on "CIT", "JB", "SVB", or any other acronym.

Cheers,

Just to be clear, putting your phrase in quotes = "information on CTE" will search for the exact phase. Searching CTE and "CTE" will give the same results. Quotes are more useful in multiple word searches.

Examples:
site:forums.azbilliards.com prather purple heart sneaky
vs
site:forums.azbilliards.com "prather purple" heart sneaky
vs
site:forums.azbilliards.com "prather purple heart sneaky"
vs
site:forums.azbilliards.com prather "purple heart" sneaky
etc...
