I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO POST THIS SO I'M PUTTING IT HERE. MY MAN, COSMO SHOWED ME THIS VIDEO THE OTHER NIGHT, AND I THOUGHT ALL OF US WOULD ENJOY IT. WE THINK THAT HE'S USING SOME KIND OF TRICK CUE BALL. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?????????

No trick cueball, just super fast cloth that lets him get insane spin!

Check out this 38 min video.

No big deal.....

.....easy as can be.....

I do this kind of stuff all the time, while playing 8-ball.

This guy puts a little spin on the ball, dances a couple rails, and makes the tap.

I can have ball-in-hand, have an O.B. hanging in the pocket, and go 9 rails without even touching it.....and that's with it lined up perfectly straight.

Most folks tell me it's GOTTA take something special to make that happen.

That's me............special.

:) :) :)

i heard those snooker tables are heated wich makes the ball be able to travel faster and grab the felt better.. i dunno.. its pretty amazing either way.. great find!

The balls are 2.5" which means more mass for more action. Then you have a 11.75mm tip, and the super fast cloth with the heated table. Those are the tricks of the trade. I saw Semih do some of these shots at the BCA Trade Expo in houston earlier this year. Very cool.

I posted the 38 Min video of Semih a couple months ago, check my older threads if you wanna see it. I have also had the pleasure of seeing Semih play live at the pool club where I play. He is simply astonishing. He did 10 or twelve of the shots on the 38 min video live and the most tries he needed was three I believe. He is awesome. And as has been mentioned here allready he does use a solicone spray to reduce the grip of the cueball, allowing it to slide very long.

Super fast cloth on a HEATED bed. Rolls for years! I didn't even watch your link...but I already know the billiards video based on everyone's descriptions..LOL....Cool stuff.

BTW..I don't think SNOOKER tables are heated, but the BILLIARDS tables are.

I've watched him play in some carom tournaments here in Queens at Masters Billiards and Carom Cafe (where the video was taped) and he's pretty good.

I can confirm that all the snooker tables used in professional snooker events are heated.

Jeez and I thought Dennis Dieckman was eccentric................lol. I think it has something to do with 3-cushion players.

its not the shaft

wow bells i like the shaft with the points first time i ever seen that. Who made that cue?
That is the forearm of a andy gilbert j/b cue. The cue is broken down to the jump cue. I just recently sold that cue. I thought it was an interesting pic because you could see andys contruction style of the forearm of the cue. Gilberts are a great cue for the money and play very very well. I posted more pics in the "test" area of this forum.

Nice

I have seen Scottie Townsend goofing around doing some of those shots on a 9 x 4 1/2 centenial table. But that man is even smoother.
Thanks Marcus

Trick?????????

When I was younger much younger around Lexington, Ky. Walter Tevis used come in Tobys an watch is gamble. Walter dedicated I believe The Color of Money to Toby the guy who taught him how to shoot pool. Toby was a decent player but he had one shot that I've probably seen him execute many, many times. He would put a ball on the spot freeze the cueball to it an draw his cueball 5 rails no heated cloth, silicon, or trick cloth. Toby had a billiard background I must of tried that shot 40 or 50 times I finally drew it 4 rails never tried it since. I would say that all that stuff can be done with no trick involved.
