Here are the final records for the 2015 Kings Cup played November 19-21 in Manila.

Scoring the way it counts, by matches:
Day 1 -- West 4, East 2
Day 2 -- West 3, East 3
Day 3 -- West 3, East 3
Total -- 10 - 8

Scoring by games rather than matches:
Day 1 -- West 22, East 21
Day 2 -- West 20, East 20
Day 3 -- West 24, East 26
Total -- 66 - 67

Individual players' records. For the following records, I counted a full win or loss for each player in each match (i.e., not splitting the point into quarters for the quadruples matches, thirds for the triples matches, or halves for the doubles matches). So these numbers essentially answer the question: "In how many winning and losing matches was each player involved?"

Team West
• Shane Van Boening ..... 2-0 singles, 0-2 doubles, 3-0 triples, 2-1 quadruples, 7-3 total (winning percentage of 70%)
• Darren Appleton ..... 1-1 singles, 1-1 doubles, 3-0 triples, 2-1 quadruples, 7-3 total (70%)
• Mika Immonen ..... 0-1 singles, 0-2 doubles, 4-0 triples, 2-1 quadruples, 6-4 total (60%)
• Albin Ouschan ..... 0-2 singles, 1-1 doubles, 2-0 triples, 2-1 quadruples, 5-4 total (56%)
Team West Total ..... 3-4 singles, 2-6 doubles, 12-0 triples, 8-4 quadruples, 25-14 total (64%)

Team East
• Ko Pin-Yi ..... 2-1 singles, 2-0 doubles, 0-4 triples, 1-2 quadruples, 5-7 total (42%)
• Ko Ping-Chung ..... 1-1 singles, 3-0 doubles, 0-4 triples, 1-2 quadruples, 5-7 total (42%)
• Efren Reyes ..... 1-0 singles, 1-1 doubles, 0-2 triples, 1-2 quadruples, 3-5 total (38%)
• Francisco Bustamante ..... 0-1 singles, 0-1 doubles, 0-2 triples, 1-2 quadruples, 1-6 total (14%)
Team East Total ..... 4-3 singles, 6-2 doubles, 0-12 triples, 4-8 quadruples, 14-25 total (36%

Another way of looking at the records is to count a full point for each player in a singles win or loss, half a point for each player in a doubles win or loss, a third of a point for each player in a triples win or loss, and one-fourth of a point for each player in a quadruples win or loss. So the following numbers essentially answer the question: "What numerical contribution did each player make to the overall Kings Cup match scores?"

Team West
• Van Boening ..... 3.5 - 1.25 (winning percentage of 74%)
• Appleton ..... 3.0 - 1.75 (63%)
• Immonen ..... 1.83 - 2.25 (45%)
• Ouschan ..... 1.67 - 2.75 (38%)
Team West Total ..... 10 - 8 (56%)

Team East
• Ko Pin-Yi ..... 3.25 - 2.83 (53%)
• Ko Ping-Chung ..... 2.75 - 2.83 (49%)
• Reyes ..... 1.75 - 1.67 (51%)
• Bustamante ..... 0.25 - 2.67 (9%)
Team East Total ..... 8 - 10 (44%)

So the triple and quadruple matches killed the East.

West faltered in Singles and Doubles.

My theory on that....the East team did not share a common language.
....it's gotta be tough to be a team with lack of communication.

I'm assuming Albin speaks English

Yup. Here's the summary of who won the 18 matches, by type of match:

Singles -- West 3, East 4
Doubles -- West 1, East 3
Triples -- West 4, East 0
Quadruples -- West 2, East 1

Total -- West 10, East 8
