Why does there need to be a vote to induct BCA HoF members whose major accomplishments were tied to winning 14.1 titles?

Hello~
The criteria of the BCA and the people who vote in itm have changed over the years.

More importantly, the criteria of the BCA HOF and the 14.1 HOF is completely different.

Another important difference is many of the inductees and nominees of the 14.1 HOF are not in the BCA HOF , and likely never will be.

The downside of public votes like this is that the uninformed will often sway the results to the less deserving because they fail to realize how much knowledge they lack on topic/nominees or they simply don't care and want to to give their unqualified input anyway. IMO if you are not pretty knowledgeable about the careers and accomplishments of all of the nominees then you have no business voting.

Greetings,

I totally concur, Poolplaya9.

Perhaps in the next class my grandfather, Cisero Murphy, can bring it home with enough votes.

Meanwhile, you can get his biography book entitled, "Big City Nights: The Biography of the Legendary Cisero Murphy" from the corporate website @ http://www.MurphyEntSolutions.com Then, click the MES Book Store Link.

Your grandfather is in the BCA Hall of Fame.
He has a very respected name on AZ and the pool world.

One of our goood players and instructor has a Cisero saying as his sigline...
..Blackjack...David Sapolis....
“Dead balls are harder to find than they are to make.”

Yep.

Wow ... Just realized that this is an old thread from last year.

I think for 2018 - We should make the Hall of Fame happen for Dennis Walsh. IMO, nobody is out there working harder to push this game back to prominence than Dennis.
