If this is an 8-ball tourny at a pub, does that mean we get to play on bar boxes? :D

One of the reasons I asked Ken if he could host this event was because I have had the pleasure to play at his place before, and it is very nice. Not only does he have four 8' barboxes, but what you cannot really tell from the pic is, that these tables are actually located in a 'pit' area, that is away from from the normal pub traffic flow to and from the bar itself...although, the bar is easily accessible to this area. :D

I felt the floorplan was just suited for these types of events, and might make the experience more pleasurable for all attending. Plus, Ken really is a very gracious host, as well as a fellow AZer...the best of both worlds! :D

Thanks Lisa!

Thanks Lisa! Yes, our poolroom is a very comfortable place to play....wished I had 8-10-20 more tables down there :D

Hope to see everyone that can attend -- it will be a fun event for sure ;)

Lol....wish you could make it too, Brent!:) You'd probably fall in love with it out here and never want to go back...lol.

Now I need to really get some practice in...was gonna play a local weekly money shoot last night to get back in form, but wound up leaving just before it started when the TD was playing me a practice game. I broke, dropped nothing, he attempted to suit a solid, and failed. He apparently was deep in convo with someone else...I suited solids, dropped several, and then returned to my table was talking to some friends I had not seen in a while...I turn around, and TD is shooting in my solids, lickety split! I say something, and then it is all my fault for not telling him what his suit should have been?! I let him take the game, and he was still going on about me not telling him until after he had 3 balls down. I apologized like 3 times, but I really wasn't watching the game in progress, and had I seen it, I would have said something sooner....I had no clue the guy had already put down 3 balls!! My friends even corroborated that we all had not paid attention...and each time the TD says, 'yeah, right'. So I left. I was fed up, and he would have likely screwed me in the brackets anyways...so what was the point?

Wow! That just gushed out!! Luckily, this particular TD is not an AZer...so I will not have to put up with his crap next Saturday. :)

Hey, no problem, Ken! :) And look at it this way, 4 tables keeps it 'cozy'...lol. ;)

Rooms Available

I've blocked 10 rooms at the Hampton Inn located about 5 minutes from the Village Inn on the Airport Exit off of I-5; Tel. 1-360-676-7700.

http://hamptoninn.hilton.com/en/hp/...MVCQKIYFC3UUC?ctyhocn=BLLWAHX&ctyhocn=BLLWAHX

Alex Nephew (x109) has obliged to hold these rooms for anyone interested until 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 17th.

The discounted rate is $80 per room; each room has 2 queen size beds -- just mention your calling about the AZB reservation.

The Hampton Inn has a free shuttle service available from the Airport or the Amtrak station to the hotel. If you need a ride from the hotel just give me a call ;)

Wow Ken....good thinking! Not all of us may wish to make a long drive home, and this is a great solution...thanks for doing the the 'leg-work'!!
