Beloit, WI - The Carom Room - $1000+ Added - Sept 25th - "No Masters" 8-Ball

This is a "no masters" 8-ball tournament that features a race to 5, no handicaps, double elimination, big calcutta and $35 entry fee.

All regular events are $1000 added prorated on 64 players. More players means more money added. We have been filling the 96-player fields in these tourneys so it could be a $1500 added tourney ;)

Tournament tables are 14 Diamond bar boxes with Simonis 860HR cloth and Super Aramith Pro balls. Doors open at 10am for free practice on the tournament tables until noon. Lights out & calcutta starts at noon. No practicing allowed on the tournament tables during the calcutta. First matches called immediately at the end of the calcutta.

The Carom Room is now "smoke free" but a brand new smoking area deck has been added for those who do care to light up.

Please read the flyer!! Advance registrations accepted (money order to Carom Room preferred) but you must be present by start of caluctta @ noon or your spot may be sold.

The "known master" list has been completed and should be posted on the Carom Room website by the end of the week. If you have played in this series over the last two years and don't see your name on the list you are ok to play in the "no master" events.

New players are always subject to review. The tournament committe makes all rating decisions. Adjustments may be made at any time to insure the integrity of the "no master" tourneys.

do non-masters women get a handicap?

No handicaps in this series of tourneys. Just two divisions open/no masters. The ladies do play for free in open events :)

Women pros must play in the open tourneys. Women grand masters may be eligible for no master tourneys but should check first to verify. All womens master players are allowed to play in the no master tourneys.

Do I have to send in a money order or can I just sign up and pay the morning of? I am driving 5 hours to get there.

Well, if you check the website and results from the "no master" events last year we filled most every time. My recommendation is to mail your entry early to guarantee your spot. We do limit entries to 96.

Short holiday week and then two more weeks to the first big "no master" tourney of the Beloit season.

Have a great Labor Day weekend ;)

Starting to get more interest in the "no masters". Stop in early and pay your $35 entry or get a money order in the mail soon.

For those who travel and have extra time the Carom Room has a Thursday night handicapped 9-ball tournament starting at 7:30 pm sharp. Buy extra tickets for the break n run pot too. I know that has reached nearly $1,000 a ball at times!!

Bumpppppppppppp for good guys and excellent tournaments. See you guys soon.

I'm all in....

I'm going to give this a whirl. Looks like a lot of fun. Heck, only about 90 minutes from the Chicago area..... And I don't have to play Ike Runnells or Jeff Sargent in the same tourney !!!

You could play them if you tried the open tourneys! Definitely not the "no master" tourneys though you are absolutely correct
