And Thanks from the Mezz Tour for putting this together for (Ginky) George Sansouci.

Mike Dechaine is playin Joey Testa for the hot seat.
Dennis Hatch, Jeremy Sossei, Zion Zvi, Shaun Wilkie
all left on the losers side

There were two separate tournaments at this event, one for ABCD, and Open/Pro. The ABCD started yesterday morning at 10 AM, and were down to the last 12 as of this morning.

Here some pictures I took of the event. In the second picture, you'll see the patch memorializing Ginky.

Not sure who won the am, but wasn't me. I got lucky and beat you Tony, I got some good rolls. You played good. I ended up 17th of 96.

Raj Vannala won it. Raj beat Mike Panzarella 9-6 (Mike beat me 7-6). I finished 17th too.

The tourney had a different format, first time I tried it. Basically, the a/b players played each other, and the c/d players played each other. It was like 2 separate tourneys. The only time the c/d players had to play one of us was in the hotseat or semifinals.

Strange, but works, i suppose.

I just read the tourney report on the AZB home page. Looks like they left out the whole 17-24 cash line. Amateur reporters? :p

Damn Cleary you should have let me win if you were going to give it away in the end GRRRRRR.

Oh well life goes on. But it just stinks that I won 24 Games & lost 18 & I'm out

I lost to guy who got 4th and the guy who got 5th. I was just mentally drained at that point in the day and didn't play my best. They both played great and deserved to beat me. Like my wife always tells me, I gotta work on my stamina.

I can understand why it might not be great from your point of view but from the bottom looking up, I love it.

From a time perspective, it also speeds up a tournament. When an A+ has to give out monster weight, it increases the games played and will also wear down the A+.

They don't care about us or our $75 big money payday.

Lol. Don't sneer at $75. You could parlay that into lottery tickets, which, could make you rich (after my cut). That, or you can take the $75 and fill the gas tank on your lawnmower (the shit is expensive, nowadays).

If anything, it's more like getting the whole story right. Gawd forbid that someone starts saying that the tourney directors robbed the tourney, by not paying the top 1/4 of the field, or some nonsense like that.

WOW Cleary

Cleary I was just looking at the Standings page WOW how do you average 50 Points a tournament & not have a tournament win?????

John was right underated is an understatement LOL you can have a bad match & still win LOL

I'm just teasing you ;) But really maybe you might be feeling guilty thats why you can't win any tournaments. I bet when you raise yourself you will do so much better in finishing.

Tony, I've only played in ABCD tournaments and a D/D+ gets double points. So that's really just an average of 25 points. I've cashed 3 times this season (I believe) out of 12 events. 4th was the highest I got and I played my best pool that day.

Besides, the points system means nothing. Lets say I bumped myself to a B+, I would have NO SHOT at even winning one match. BUT, if I played in every event, all season long and averaged 25 points per tournament(which is nothing) I would be in a tie for 1st place in POY. 850 points for losing the whole season.

I try as hard as I can in every match I play. Im just not good enough. Some people say I'm underrated... and some people think I'm underrated.

I gamble with B players that play on the tour and they give me more weight gambling they they do in a tournament... cause they know they can. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose.

D+ to C+ I think you would do well

I respect your game You should respect your own game.

I think your feeling guilty or you have a lot of dog in you. Only because you start out so well but just don't finish.

I really think it's just added pressure knowing you should win at that spot very easy.

But I do want my revenge!!!!! Good shooting Andrew

Looks like i'm being called out !!!!

I'll play the same way for $50-100. Revenge is always better when you get paid. Not calling you out, just an offer. I like to gamble a little.

WOW This is the first time I was ever called out from the internet LOL

I like an advantage :-) So since I haven't gambled in a while. Maybe you can give me 2 on 7? You beat me 7-5 Also you like to gamble.
So I would ask for 3 on 7 but I think a fair game would be giving me 2 on 7 for maybe $100? I'll be back in NJ in about 2 weeks we can pick a date then.

Then we can set another date after we play each other. Lets say in late August this way we can post for a minimum of 3 matches maybe for $200 a set.

Sound good?

Anyone know how much money this raised for the cause? I'd like to play next year and perhaps donate some too, to Ginkys family. He was so young... So tragic.

Don't really know but All people involved did a great job!
