Not bad. What's the bottom look like, btw?

Have a price point yet?

Out of the gate the bottom is just a made in the USA label....

As far as pricing..... Still working out quantity breaks for materials, packaging and assundries and have to figure the batch size to have a labor component..Not to mention the new lab stuff I acquired that has to be recaptured.

I am mainly worried about maintaining quality and consistency so I don't want to try and do too many cubes at a time just to save money.......

Honestly--and keep in mind, folks, he asked for feedback--too flashy for my taste. I'd tone it down considerably, perhaps filling most of the space with white, shrinking the graphic down while framing it with the same gray/black theme and using a smaller, more modest font for the lettering.

But, hell, my grandfather was raised Quaker, I have modesty in my genes. I just don't particularly want people asking me about my chalk in the hall.

I always appreciate all feedback good or bad and since that is the case I hope noone would hop on you over your opinions =)

I colored the part that made me smile tho in green since that's exactly what I hopes happens LOL

Get them listed in the store. I have been checking since you 1st said formula was dialed in. I will pick up a couple.asap.

You're going in the right place with the logo. I also agree it looks a little flashy, but I honestly like the flashiness. I would make the font just a tiny bit smaller so it fits nicely on the paper. The over all shark logo is great and really like it. I think it makes a good statement. I think you have done some great quality work and look forward to trying out the chalk. I know this must have taken A LOT of time and I am sure everyone will appreciate your hard work.

Round chalk likes to roll all over pool hall. Why not square?
The white color is OK for green/blue cloth?

Agreed about the font. Dial it in between the boarder, maybe make the shark without tail, turn the colored area into a brushed aluminum look and voila!

I have a few ideas about the rolling around that will be released soon.... as far as the color... While it appears white there is nothing staining about the binders, fillers or abrasives so it simply brushes off regardless of the color...

I have a friend who is a nut about his brown cloth and I bet him a new bedcloth that the "Great White" wouldn't stain it... he's been using it for 2 months now and has confirmed I don't owe him a cloth....

This is a new formula. It's not just a rehash of how it's been done before... We removed anything that could leave stains... I may add color at some point but it won't be to our premium chalk.... I can use different fillers and binders if I am going to add color which would make it cheaper to produce......

Sorry i did not read the entire thread, what are those stickers for? Thanks

They look great! I have to ask though...do they have to be completely round? Dropped chalk like that will roll forever. :(

Those stickers are going to be used on my case for when I shoot players down.. kind of like they did on fighter planes in WWII.... LOL I'll be in Chesapeake in October for the Open so maybe you could swing on by since my case is quite large :p

LOL Smart ass......

My honest 2 cents...
What's in a name or a logo?
If the chalk is top notch all else will fall into place!

thumbs up.

i like the creativity here. using the shark which has been related to pool sharks for years without the seedy rep in your label.... i bet its awsome seeing the progression of your efforts. cheers

Can't wait to try some. I love the shark logo.
I wonder what size shell casing I can cut down to make a chalk holder.
What is the diameter?

Isn't there supposed to be a seal hanging out of the sharks mouth with blood gushing...lol....I'm totally kidding lol too much coffee this morning.

I like it just the way it is. If anything make the black portions darker, but overall I think the label stands out, and would be easily recognizable from across the room.

I agree with Mr. Bond about the coloring. Too much gray. Gray is a wishy-washy color. Makes one more undecided. You want bold coloring, Dark black in it. Make a statement with the shading of it.

Wouldn't it be a FISH? This is pool we're talking about here.
