This may only be my opinion....but this IS NOT AN AUCTION SITE!!! If you want to sell your cue, put a price up, it will help out.

Give the guy a break. He said to send him offers above $700.00. what is wrong with that? To start a fight with this guy you have to start a fight with a ton of other people at AZ that do the same thing.

I bid $1700.01 With a kick back if I drive and pick it up in person That would be $1200.01 off for free pick up in person right.

If there is no recipt to show you own the cue then my momma said I can only bid street value of no more then 25% of what retail is dont want to get caught up in a bad deal, We dont even know if its preban ivory Or even a Hoppe style but you say its a Rambo but.

Can you post some pictures of the cue with todays newspaper next to it and quarter and 2 dimes also this way we all you are for real and the cue does exsist then you might post a real price also to get some real buyersa intrested in it....

OK, fine. I replied a few days ago to an AZ'r on another thread somewhere that said he was looking for a Scruggs under $1100. So, I sent him a reply offering this cue for $900. He said that he had just purchased a cue and was no longer in the market, but that this cue, my cue, may bring closer to $1000+.

So, now it is available and that is the story. I am not going to post a specific price though because I am not sure of its value, so I will let the market (ie those AZ'rs searching the Wanted/For Sale section) to determine that.

Whether it is an ivory joint or imitation ivory can make a significant difference in the cues value also, correct?

Funny post n10spool.

Of course it does, but I an not sure if it's Ivory or not. Synthetic ivory can look very similar to pre-ban ivory, and I am not one to misrepresent anything. So to be safe, that is what it is? Exactly! If you are a cue collector, may be you can tell by the joint craftsmanship, I don't know? I am no expert, just an AZ'r trying to sell a cue.

I have to say I am with Tony on this. Michael here is offering a cue at a fair price. I look at this as he will sell at $700.00 if it is his best offer.
I am sure he would agree to Escrow or Paypal, something to insure your purchase since he is new to the Forum....IMO

Michael, how about a little history of how you have come to own the cue.
I am also sure someone here would be able to send these photos to TS to answer the Ivory or not questions.

Wow, thanks Tony. I was seriously considering just taking down this post. As for the escrow, Paypal would be my preferred source of payment. As for MY history, you can review my feedback and Items for Sale (2 cue purchases, 2 cues bought recently), and 150+ other positive feedbacks.

I recently acquired the cue from a trade on another cue. Bottom line is, I need the cash, and the other cue was beautiful with little name recognition of the maker, so I traded for a "name" (scruggs), to get out of it.

There is nothing wrong with the cue. Rolls straight together and apart. Hits solid. I recieved it from a friend of mine, who is reputable but will be kept confidential. This is not their sale, it is mine.

I hope that this information helps.

Thanks again Felt.

So are you saying escrow is not an option?

Thanks Tim for your offer. I have received one for 800 so far.

And Jeff, I am not familiar with Escrow but am very familiar with Paypal. If need be, than I am of course open to learn.
