Simonis X1

Interesting It uses static electricity to clean the cloth... I wonder what it will cost and how effective it is..

It works pretty good. I tried it at the BCA expo and again at the gathering in Chicago. Sucks the chalk dust right up. I forget what they are going to charge.

I think you can expect in the neighborhood of $100 retail.

Thats a good price! Hmmm, might be interested. I was going to get a new vacuum anyways just for my table.

nice to see its only around $40.00

Now all we need is a effective ball cleaner for under $100

I built my bucket ball cleaner for under $40... Even was asked to make one for the pool hall I play at as their old polisher was dropped by someone who works there. It's working fine for them, just a bit on the loud side.

A quick google search shows pooldawg has it on their website already (not in stock tho) at $89...

That's the retail price. I'm curious though, Glen...they're already available, but is the $40 a straight from Simonis dealer price? Even through distributors, wholesale is higher than $40.

They're not out yet but Sim is expecting to ship them soon.
If you have an account in Gurnee then Felice can quote you a price.
Expect to pay more at wholesale.

Props to RKC

I will say this over a YEAR ago RKC recommended to me to use an eraser to for a quick clean up of cloth - just a cheap one - like you saw in gradeschool. That works great. I know it works because when RKC replaced my cloth he said he had NEVER seen a slate as clean as mine when he removed the cloth.

So he was far ahead of the curve on this one.

chalk eraser

this is a high tech tool for removing chalk dust...this tool is nothing like a cheep CHALK BOARD ERASER...the one tool will hold a 1/2 cube of chalk in dust form...these will be at least $70-$80 resale...
