Gold foil Original by Palmer sighting...

This was an interesting thing to see.
An original by Palmer cue with personalized
gold foil under clear window.
I went to my friend's place to have a new tip
put on my daily driver.
He tells me a girl received this as a gift, from her
boyfriend, because it was allegedly
"nothing special" and is now being used as a
bar cue for league. My friend was told that after
putting in some research time, she told her
boyfriend he might regret giving her the cue now.
Lol. I agree! She knew enough to grasp that it's
not a cheap production Palmer,
but pretty sure it stops there.
She brought it in to have a new ferrule, tip,
and possibly a new wrap installed.
I asked are you sure she did enough research!?
I don't think you should touch this thing.
I've seen several silver foil window Palmer's,
but this was the 2nd gold foil I've ever seen in person.
I asked if he would call her, and ask if I could post pics.
He said she doesn't have any issues, so here they are.
Maybe someone might know more about it.
It's a Titleist forearm, with original shafts that appear to have micarta ferrules (Champion tips?),
and the name reads, "R.T. Collier" on the gold foil.
The plastic rings have swelled at the joint,
but the brass joint collar hasn't been abused;
other than weathering.
The veneer colors are the brightest I've seen
on a Titleist ever.
It just looks like it was never really played, but was left
inside the case in terrible weather conditions;
like a garage without insulation.
After our chat, and finding out that gold foil adds 20%
value according to the Blue Book #3,
my friend said he didn't want to work on it before
letting her know the deal.

I've had friends that found nice cues in garage sales
and pawn shops, but yeah this one takes the cake. Lol.
