player list?

player schedule?

dress code?

could there be any less information about the 'World 14.1'?

would like to see the player list and schedule before ponying up 580.00 plus 3-7 days accommodations in nyc(albeit queens)

would I love to play in this event? yes, but id like to know theres the chance that I won't run into a 300 ball runner in every round robin match.

also, having never been to Steinway(though I have been to Olympia billiards and I think theyre one in the same), Id like to know about the equipment. are they all gold crown buckets with overly fast and bouncy rails like Amsterdam? have they been recovered for this event with overly waxed balls like some modern 14.1 players use for their high runs? we talking centennials with red dot or super pro aramith with the red triangle? hows the air conditioning in this room? my feeling is that it will get hot very quickly given the crowds and the outside temperature.

They do not have a complete player list until they fill all the spots. They wanted to fill the last spots and then do the draw yesterday. I'm pretty sure the names will be out soon.

Format: 56 Player Invitational

July 12, 2015 Players Meeting 8:00pm

July 13-15 8 Groups of 6 Players Round Robin (Race to 100)

July 16 Final 24 Players

July 17 Final 16 Players

July 18 1:00pm – Semi-Finals

July 19 1:00pm - Finals

Time and schedule subject to possible change

I believe the dress code is vest, dress shirt, dark pants, if that is something you need to know right now.

I believe the tables are all Gold Crowns. You may have to call Steinway if you need to know exactly when they were covered and the exact condition of the balls. You may also inquire as to how they clean the balls and what balls they use if these are things you need to know.

Do they use T8's or T12's for lighting?

Not 48 players like last few years (8 groups of 6)?

If not, how do they split 56 into groups of 6? 8 groups of 7?

i think it was expanded to 56.

8 groups of 7.

There was a note somewhere that said each player plays a minimum of 6 matches so that jibes.

Looks Like a Great Field !!!

looking at the list we are trying to figure how many 100's are going to be ran, are those stats kept ? (i am bolding my pics of players that will do it) !!!

my guess is that there will be between 15-20 runs at 100+

My guess is that you will see more than 25 hundred ball runs this year. Time will tell. Best Regards, Hal
