I remember watching Monrovia John in action at that pool room in the late 80's. I wonder what ever happened to him?

That sucks! Was a real decent old school room. Hats off to the owner for keeping the ball rolling as long as he did. Property probably became too expensive for use as pool room.

From what I read, it's a combination of the owner's health challenges and the owner of the "whole property" sold it as they were just leasing. Yep, it's sad another one had to close its doors, for whatever reason...

Actually Kenny passed away in December and it's truly heartbreaking, honestly I think it's better in a way that at least he didn't have to go through the closing of the poolroom but of course it's horrible that we lost him.
