Looking again for afternoon pool in Raleigh, Durham, Cary NC

We've been here for two years now, and I've been able to find some afternoon players at Buck's Billiards in Cary, but as it's sometimes totally empty, I'd like to find some other options. Live in Brier Creek, but willing to travel for a good game with good players and tables.

I'm retired, and a good player. I definitely prefer playing in the afternoons. Some of the pool halls/bars with tables in the area don't even open until 4PM, so that's limiting my playing choices.

Suggestions?????

Brown's or Brass Tap are good options.

^^this^^

get with AZers Matt90 and fat Albert - they live in Raleigh/Durham respectively.
OR
bring it to Greensboro (80 miles & 1 hour flat) and play with KK9 & Tim! Break Time opens @ 2pm & free table time (if we like you!) ;)

Break Time in Cary just opened in May.

It's the best poolroom in the Raleigh area.

They have 11 brand new 9-foot Diamond Blue Label Pro-Ams.

I agree - it's a nice place. But there still aren't many players there in the afternoons. I don't know about evenings.

Break Time Billiards open at 11:00 am Mon-Fri. There is also a Break Time in Charlotte but it is a different house with different owners.

I'll be in the Cary, NC area next month for about a week and will be looking for some cheap action ($20-40/game one pocket) if any is around. I'll only be able to play in the evenings from about 5-8 (maybe 9) though. If anybody is interested, let me know.

I'm not a 1 hole player but I'll try you some if I'm around.

Just shoot me a PM whenever you arrive and let me know when you plan on being there.

Brass Tap in Raleigh usually has some action during the daytime.

I moved from this area a year and half ago and I understand that a room opened in Hillsborough. The owner had a room in Durham where there was usually day action.

The only room I knew of to have action in Durham was Jump Shots. Ed and his brother Zac owned it, did they open a place in Hillsborough? Jump Shots wasn't much of a place but was tons of fun. Saw Sarah R playing some big sets there once and the bartender Christy Boobs was a sketch. The more I think about it Jump Shots was full of characters, hope it is them in Hillsborough. Speakeasy in Sanford closed recently...
