Double the Rail Maximum?

Let's say you're shooting short table. I've gotten 1.5+ diamond returns on a double the rail shot before. On my table, an old Brunswick Gold Crown with Simonis 300 cloth, I can barely make over 1 diamond. Is it the rails?

You may want to try all four corners. I've played on a table that had slightly curved cushions in some corners. The maximum on sticky cloth is close to two diamonds, I think. Use a little draw to multiply the side.
