Of all the Turning Stone winners on that list, many like to play golf.
...Steve Tavernier will rob them all on a golf course.

Well that's not very nice.

Well, Steve is a very nice person....but one hell of a golfer.
...although we do argue....I tend to pronounce his family name French style.....
...he's having none of that.

Steve won the very first Joss Tour event at Turning Stone. First photo is Steve and his girlfriend at the time with Keith. Second photo is Snooker's crew from Providence, with owner Steve Goulding and Joe Tucker.

Tavernier's win was at TS IV, in Feb., 2005. Immonen won TS I in July, 2000.

I believe somebody from Snooker's won before Mika. This was when the tournament was not in the main arena. It was in a side room with chairs surrounding the pit.

Here's a photo of Frankie and Karen in that room. You can see the ceiling lights. Mika did not win that year. It was that guy from Snooker's, I'm pretty sure.

Just found my thread. You're right. Tavnerier was in 2005, but I do not believe, subject to check, there were a total of five Turning Stone tournaments before this one, which wsa in the side room. I would have been there, if they were there. I don't remember any being there. I remember Tavnerier's win in the side room as one of the first at Turning Stone.

Here's the entire room.

I would have been there, if they were there. I don't remember any being there. I remember Tavnerier's win in the side room as one of the first at Turning Stone.

Here's the entire room.

To my knowledge, the first Joss Tour Turning Stone Classic event was a 32-player invitational in July 2000 with added money of $20,400. It was played in what they called the Conference Center. Mika Immonen defeated Frankie Hernandez 13-2 to win the $7,500 first prize.

The second event was a 128-player open event in May 2001 with added money of $50,000. Francisco Bustamante won the $15,500 first prize by defeating Efren Reyes 13-1.

The third event, in August 2001, was like the first -- a 32-player invitational with $20,400 added. Charlie Williams squeaked by Mika Immonen 13-11 to take the top prize of $6,000.

Then there was a 3½ year gap between TS events. Joss Tour season-ending events were played elsewhere during that gap.

Steve Tavernier won TS IV in February 2005, beating Ryan McCreesh 13-2 for the top prize of $5,500. It was a 96-player open event with $15,000 of added money.

All subsequent TS Classic events have been open to 128 players with $25,000 in added money. First prize was $10,000 for TS V and $8,000 for each event since then.
