Snooker rails.

New here. Joined a few months ago but I couldn't post anything until I emailed the moderator yesterday.

I have an 8' Olhausen drop pocket table made in 1994. I want to fabricate snooker rails and cushions and bolt them on. I don't want to modify the standard rails and cushions. I know quality snooker tables have thicker slate and they bolt into it. I will be stuck through bolting like the factory rails. There is a local pool hall that has a snooker table and I can trace the pocket profile.
My question is, should I attempt them or find someone to make them for me?
If it's someone out of state I could make a template of my table slate using plywood and ship it.
I want to use the 2 1/16" arimith snooker balls I have. I will just get a set of 2" pool balls.
Suggestions? Rail plans?
Btw.. I have been a carpenter for over 33 years..

I have some 8' foot rails if your interested, the rail liner comes off with a few screws. The liner and rail align with a dado on rail.
Snooker balls are 2-1/8..

I did some research and found out Olhausen will make Snooker rails for my table but with pockets it's over $1100.
I found a 12' snooker table in my area still in crates for dirt cheep!
Going to give up my two car garage and set it up!

Can't wait! 👍🏼
