Billy Incardona is Hall of Fame worthy.
The Billiards Congress of America's Hall of Fame annual induction ceremony will take place this October at the US-International 9-Ball Open in Norfolk, Va.
Two categories have been established in the Billiard Congress of America's Hall of Fame.
The Greatest Player category is reserved for outstanding players who have been active in national or international competition for at least 20 years and have won at least one national or international championship.
The Meritorious Service category is reserved for those who have made lasting, memorable and important contributions to billiards
Billy Incardona belongs in the Hall of Fame for his Meritorious Service.
There is no question that Billy has made lasting, memorable and important contributions to billiards.
Is there anyone else that is more qualified?
His credentials are impeccable.
I think it's an honor that Billy deserves and is long overdue.
I urge the Hall of Fame panel to vote for Billy Incardona's induction.

Nothing against Billy but since you asked, I feel Grady is.

Billy won the Johnson city once
but I think he lived at a time when pool tournaments were rare The greats such as Ed Kelly,Eddie Taylor etc were mainly money players

the hall of fame may justify themselves by talking about tournament pool records only

Similar in some respect to Baseball hall of Fame denying the hall to the
Great Black players like satchel Paige,Cool Papa bell and others
until they decided to open the doors to these players

I would think Billy deserved to be in for his commentating skills alone
,but then again I would think he deserved to be in for his playing career alone

Best wishes to Billy

Wasn't Billy the best 9 ball player in the world in the early 70's? I know that now he is known for one pocket and his commentary which is as good as it gets. Grady is also another that would be a travesty to not be in any pool HOF. Pool really needed both of these guys, Billy for his knowledge and the way he can simplify complex strategies and Grady for the knowledge and the way he could instantaneously teach via commentary and his no nonsense attitude towards anything he deemed bad for pool. I miss Grady posting on here and Billy too!

Strange hes not already, guess I didnt realize the criteria for being inducted.

Sam Colt might not have been the best shot in the world but he did a lot for the firearms industry...same goes with Billy

Grady was never the player Billy I was.

I know first hand.

Beat Grady every time we played.

Beat Billy also but before he became the player he later became.

He is not only a great player, a great commentator but also a great ambassador of the game.

He deserves the honor.

The nomination from the OP was for Meritorious Service not necessarily for quality of play. If you read the Wiki entries I think Grady has him beat on that count.

I think they BOTH deserve in. And they both bring a whole lot to the table.

And so many other players deserve in. And the list is most likely far longer than I can imagine.

Any real support for his induction will include writing up his qualifications. Who here is serious enough in their support to start that?

Billy's contribution to pool alone justifies HOF status, and he is still contributing
