HONG KONG MASTERS DRAW AND TICKET DETAILS :

http://www.worldsnooker.com/hong-kong-masters-draw-ticket-details/

If you managed to get a ticket for this gig , congratulations !:thumbup:

http://www.snookerbacker.com/

It's a good read but let's take this quote.....

" The one player from the top 8 who is missing is Ding Junhui. Ding commands a fee of around £85,000 for appearances in China and Hong Kong and this by all accounts proved too steep for the organisers who told him where he could shove his appearance fee. But it’s still a stellar line up playing in front of presumably humungous crowds so it’s a shame that we can’t get to watch it as I love a good invitational tournament to break up from the sardinefests so prevalent of late. "

Next up is the Sporting Life's Simon Crawford :

https://www.sportinglife.com/snooker/news/hong-kong-masters-tips/88478

Sporting Life's Simon Crawford's tip , quote :

" But second favourite at a general 9/2, Trump's exploits in the World Cup could well give him a valuable advantage and I'm happy to make him my selection. "

Versus Snookerbacker selections quote :

" Anyway, a list of the players and the matches are detailed below. I think as an interest you could do worse than take a punt on Marco rising to the occasion at a fairly generous 11/1, with Ronnie at 5/1 an attractive proposition too considering Mark Selby is playing his first tournament back from nearly losing a toe by dropping something heavy on it, presumably his wallet. Ronnie as we know thrives in the invitationals with the big crowds and I wouldn’t put it past him tottering off with the trophy and first prize here after putting on a show for the adoring fans. Anyway it all kicks off on Thursday. "

Cheers Bob !

There are several matches uploaded under the "Daily Snooker" account now. Unfortunately, the commentary is in a language I don't understand. I'll have to watch it with http://www.kdfc.com playing.

O'Sullivan/Higgins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUtFp53i0l4 -- there are lots of (not useful) preliminaries so the break-off doesn't happen until 18:00. OK video, but lots of jerkiness and stoppages.

All the streamlinks to this tournaments seem to be the same , start , stop etc . I was watching Trump V O'Sullivan on Facebook links but they were all the same start , stop & eventually crashed altogether in the deciding frame lol !:thumbup:

Hong Kong Masters 2017 – the exhibition side

Ng On-yee humbled by crowd and two greats in Stephen Hendry and Jimmy White :

http://www.scmp.com/sport/hong-kong...and-two-greats-stephen-hendry-and-jimmy-white

Quote :

" “I thought it was a big crowd when I last played at the Crucible for the men’s world championship qualifiers with a crowd of 300, but today it was more than 3,000,” she said. “I could not find my rhythm from the first moment, maybe it’s the first time I played in front of so many home fans in a big venue and seemed not to be able to control my muscles. "

A crowd of 3,000 for the exhibition matches sounds like the events will be back in Hong Kong !

I was rather perplexed by Ronnie's play at times.

Neil played good but... looked like the better player lost.
