If you could be world champion for one discipline, which would it be?

Positively Ralf

Be it snooker, carom billiards, russian pyramid, 8 ball or many of the other games out there that have a world championship yearly, which would you want to win?

For me snooker as I think the prestige is greater and the prize money definitely is :)

In cue sports, definitely snooker

In sports with a "world championship," Formula 1

In all competitions - the Masters :)

If you can speak three languages fluently...the fourth comes a lot easier....
....and the fifth and sixth even easier...
...you start to understand languages.

So I can't limit my billiard disciplines to one....
...I would like to be champion at snooker, straight pool, and three cushion.

Then I can be a champion at all the others.

Without a doubt, World 14.1 Championships.

Bucket list, oh bucket list.

Good choice. I might choose that, too -- if only we had a significant 14.1 World Championship.

The snooker World Championship going on now has a purse of £1,750,000 (about $2,275,000 currently) and a first prize of £375,000 (about $487,500 currently).

The 2017 14.1 World Championship has a purse of ................... wait, there probably won't be such an event this year.

Last year's 14.1 World Tournament had a purse of $34,000 with $10,000 for the winner. We don't know yet whether that event will be played this year.

Straight pool! And break Mosconis record!

Eli

Others said it - but you said it first. (and I agree)
Snooker would be a close second though. And I'd love to be able to be competent at 3c.

Still - 8 ball is what I usually play.

Can we change the question to not includ money as a motivation?

In that respect, I'd want to be the World Bank Pool Champion.
