For supporting pool.

We enjoyed the tournament last weekend. We met lots of nice people. Had a great time and even won a little money in the casino.

The RV park is very nice the food was great and the tournament was well run. Lots of nice door prizes.

Will look for any future events.

So, how did you do?
AZ needs winners

In the singles I won one match.(The sun got in my eyes:cool:;)) My opponents played well and I didn't.

In the scotch doubles we won one match and enjoyed socializing with our opponents. Well all but one.;)

It was nice to finally meet you Greg. Sorry we didn't get to play. I thought the thing went smoothly.

They did put together a nice package of door prizes for a relatively small event. They almost had to beg folks to take them :)

The team that put on the event did a heck of a job. The door prizes from local sponsors were evidence of the time they put into promoting the tournament.
Jackie(my wife) did hit a couple of jack pots on the slots, which led to us having over 30 tickets in the raffle! We did win a hat, 3 shirts, a couple of bags and re gifted coupons for 3 local merchants.

This trip was to be our maiden voyage for our new RV set up. We purchased a 31' travel trailer and a '08 Ford F-350 to pull it. Made it 8 miles and the truck blew a head gasket. It is now in the shop getting a rebuilt engine, to the tune of........well more than I paid for the truck. We got Good Sam to tow the trailer back to our house(after hours sitting on the freeway) and my mechanic took the truck to their shop.

We originally left at 9 AM Thursday for what we expected to be around an 8 hour trip. Planned to get there early enough to be well rested for my Friday 1 PM start time. We did have a back up motor home. A class B Leisure Travel that we have used to go to Lincoln City. It is very small for the two of us and our 4 little dogs. Good thing we had not sold it yet. We got everything transferred to it and were back on the road about 6 PM. We arrived in Coos Bay around 5:30 Friday morning after napping along the way.

Friday in the singles I was too fatigued and drained mentally to play my best. So I just had to be satisfied with hitting some good shots here and there and trying to at least force my opponents to shot well to win.

Your Friday sounds like my Saturday. Started my last match of the day Friday way late and didn't get over till around 11:30. By the time I got home, showered and unwound and got to bed it was 1 AM. Slept restless and afraid of oversleeping because for reasons known only to others I had to come back and play for the hot seat at 9 am. I was tired and played that way. That old fart Linn seemed well rested.

After I lost that one by a mistake or two I didn't play for 2nd place until 5:30 pm when the loser's side played out. We could have played that hot seat match in the early afternoon after sleeping relaxed until my eye's came open on their own. I didn't give either player my best effort due to being very sleepy all day not to mention my scotch partner. Not sure if these folks setting match times will ever learn because god knows it's been talked about enough. Yet they just keep on keeping on with thoughtless stuff like this. It's enough to make me want to stop playing in these things sometimes.

9 AM????? OMG!!!! That is cruel and unusual. I saw Linn's name on the bracket board but never got to see him. Would have liked to have said hi. Did he end up winning? Being a member of the old fart club I would have had to root for him.:p
