Sniper Shaping Help

The last 3 Sniper tips I put on have all delaminated while I was shaping them. The layers just keep popping off one by one until no tip is left to shape. Things I have tried to eliminate this are


  • * purchase different tips from another vendor
  • * use a new blade to shape
  • * dampen the tip before shaping
  • * reduce the rpm to shape
  • * increase the rpm to shape

Any other ideas/suggestions?

That is the same thing that I experienced using Snipers - delaminating during shaping and during play. I stopped using them.

I’ve had the same issues as well. I get the tip the length I want and the top layer or two come off and I end up with a short tip. I no longer buy them and tell customers that want them put on that they will have to buy it and the problems I’ve had. They always pick something else. The Kamikaze Elite looks kind of like the Sniper and people that like the Sniper seem to like them better anyway.
