rules

GHOST CHALLENGE RULES:

Race to 7 (or more if you like)
Break, take ball in hand and try to run out
9-ball rules (hit lowest ball first, flukes count)
Runout or early 9-ball (combo/carom) is a win for you
Miss or foul is a win for the ghost
Cue ball fouls only
9 ball on the break OR on the BIH shot after the break - not a win, the 9 spots up
Break scratch - all balls made spot up on the foot spot, take ball in hand and continue
No restrictions on racking (magic rack, pattern racking are okay)

8-ball - take BIH from the kitchen after breaking
10-ball - Call shot, flukes don't count

Pro version - No BIH after break, break scratch is a loss of game

Video uploads are not required to participate, but encouraged if you have the means to do so.

Please post your score (you-ghost), date, table size/pocket size, and a link to your video (optional). Happy shooting!

Scores are listed in the main post with the information below:
Score (Win%), Member Name, Date, Table Type, Pocket Size, Video Link, Post Link (Past Scores)

HC 8-ball

Played some HC - Pro 8-ball ghost. Had World series of 8-rules.
I also commentated my play same time as I played.
I did record audio on another device but it went off sync later..
so I had do little editing for making it better.

Won 7-5. Was great match and great practice. IMO. :)

thanks :)

I did the drawings with Adobe Photoshop. Then I added them to the video with Adobe Premiere. It's not really complicated, pretty simple and doable with a few keyframes.

I just posted a 10-ball (standard version) video. Here it is:

Dr Dave running through 10-ball-ghost drill (score=81, 7 to 2 race, Jan-2017)

Here's the line to be added to the records for this thread:

7-2 W (78%), dr_dave, 01/25/2017, 9ft Olhausen 5.0" pockets (TDF = 0.95), video

I ran through 10 racks to satisfy the 10-ball-ghost-rating-drill requirements so I could also add the video and rating score to the AZB BU thread.

If others interested in this thread have not tried the Billiard University (BU) Playing-Ability Exams yet, please give them a try and post your scores (and videos if available) on the AZB BU thread, as many other AZB users have. The Exams are great practice, and the scoring helps track and motivate improvement.

Good luck,
Dave

Nice fast pace. Strong score too.
Also nice new 9-footer too:smile::smile:
Thanks. I really enjoyed the practice. Having the camera running helps add a little pressure, which is good. I love the speed of the new table. It is much faster than my old 8' table, so it is much easier (sometimes too easy) to run the CB around the table when necessary.

Thank you for managing the thread.

Regards,
Dave

I have Honor 7 lite. It is great Android phone and have good camera even it is really cheap. It cost around 180$/€ around here. Only problem is that MicroSD memorycard does not accept more than 4gb filesize(even it is 64gb) so recording stops around 31min mark.

Edit: I also made good setup for camera around 80€(three different parts). Those photographer light trifooter+part from selfiestick and turning ball socket so I can get camera sideways or up front.
