This is a LD shaft. If you're looking for an LD shaft but don't want to pay $300 for something ... this is a pretty good deal. Sub $200 shaft, good wood, good hit, good ferrule, and worth the price if you're hunting LD stuff. The one I'm basing my review on has a 5/16x14 thread .. and I tried it on 2 Joss cues and a Schon. It has a middle cue hit feel to it, and no vibration in your bridge hand. Well worth the money.

I agree. I repair a LOT of Predator shafts due to delamination of the pie pieces coming down from the ferrule end. This is a big problem! I have recommended Katana shafts to my customers for replacement. The glue seems to be better and more consistent. I have not had one of these Katana shafts come in for repair. Nothing more than tips. I think it is a better product.
