Custom cues in Europe

I am looking for my first custom cue. I am in Europe, and I would prefer to buy in the UE, to avoid taxes that would increase the price at least in a 30% if I bought from the USA. I also prefer preowned, if I can find something I like.

The problem is, I do not find many shops selling preowned custom cues around here (in fact, I only found one...). Do you know any? I could also be interested in european cuemakers. I would appreciate any info.

The first thing to accept and acknowledge is any custom cue with any ivory can't be shipped to you
from a USA seller due to the ivory ban even if only the ferrule(s) were ivory.

The next thing to specify if you have any preference for the cue-maker, design, weight, joint type,
etc. which would be helpful to any owners of such cues to contact you.

Then the next thing is how much will you spend or in other words, what's your price range or budget.
Don't waste other people's time, or your own for that matter, on a fool's errand. If you do not let folks
on here what you're prepared to spend, the reply rate is not going to be what you'd otherwise expect.

There are lots of excellent cue-dealers on this site you can work with and if you just started a new
thread with a better banner and included more details and your budget, you'd get a lot more action.

Anyway, in this thread, more than offers, I was looking for european dealers. Maybe it is just me not finding them, but I am sure that there has to be more in the business than the one that I found.

I can recommend Peter Ernst, cuemaker from Germany. I have his purpleheart jump cue and cant be happier.

Where in Europe are you located?

You can find used cues in Germany under Billiard-aktuell.de.

A relatively good and underrated cue builder is Sven Schmidt in the Stuttgart area in Germany. I bought from him and can recommend him.

Double Dave is recommended!

For a great merry widow i'd contact either BCM or Olney. Great playing cues in your price range.

Nice looking cues Ernst makes, glad I checked the link. I just realized that his logo with the fancy E, there may have been a thread or two on here that was looking to identify a logo like that, it may have been an Ernst cue.

They were Elite cues.

Double Dave Cues is the one dealer I said I knew. I have already done business with them, and they have a couple of interesting cues in my price range. Great guys to deal with. Thank you

I am in Spain. I speak a little german, but not enough to participate in a german forum. But with google help, why not? :D

Thank you very much!!

I knew Alcalde cues, they look great, I would love an olive wood one, but he makes mostly carom cues. He does offer pool shafts, it seems, but I think he only uses carom joints.
