Has anyone seen 9-Ball, the movie?

So I've been watching "The Hustlers" again via Amazon Prime.
Underneath that selection it has the section that identifies other similar videos.
Recently I noticed that "9-Ball" was the top other offering.
It was with Prime so I gave it a shot (bad pun, I know).
A bunch of Pool pros are in it including Jennifer Barretta & Jeanette Lee.

Jennifer Barretta can act and I don't just mean she looks good (which of course, she does). It's way more watchable than "Virgin Pockets". Give it a screening.

A friend of mine and great player, who has since passed, always wanted to meet Jeanette Lee.We went to the women's tournament in central Illinois years ago at the Paradice Hotel, and he had big hopes of meeting her. Sure enough we found her in the lobby and I asked if I could take a picture of the two of them telling her what a fan he was. She ran over and jumped into his arms and as he held her I took the pic. She'll never know how happy she made my friend, he talked about it till the end....one classy lady!!!

It took me a while to find a place to order DVD of it but it was worth it. If you want my review I would give Second chance 7/10 while Hustler being 10/10, TCOM 8.5/10 and Poolhall junkies 4.5/10. Second chance movie has great camera, good acting and the screenplay reminds me that of Karate Kid. Oh and there are some real woman pros in there

P.s.: The sentence "play like your live depends on it" gets a VERY intense twist towards the end of the movie

Heard about this years ago but never watched it. Didn't know it was on Prime.

I'm watching it now and it's pretty painful. Not sure how you got through it. I like Jenn B. She is a great person and a great player and a definite asset to our game... but man... this movie is bad.

If anyone can dig it up, there was a series of videos on here where, in a dream sequence, Jennifer showed up topless, with her hair covering a couple of things. It was a pretty funny scene.

I agree. I've never seen 9-ball though. I had a pool movie collection but sold it years ago. Had some corny movies and a couple of decent movies and The Hustler. Hustler stands out like a diamond among the pile. Another one, rare, that was decent though low budget was "Chalk". It was dark and seedy.
