It will fit, but it all depends on how you define properly. The idea of a modified pin is to reduce airspace in the joint and have more contact area between the shaft and the pin. So from the side of the modified pin it will not work "properly". But from the shafts perspective it will "fit".

It might go right on or it might need to be reamed a little . If it threads on it should be fine and it not, just have your local repairman ream it out a little.

It depends who made the shaft and for what style pin. If it's mine or Jeff Olneys for example. The answer is no. Our hole is smaller.
