Cheng-Chieh Liu of Taiwan, Kamila Khodjaeva of Belgium, and Henrik Larsson of Sweden secure gold medals at the 21st Annual WPA Junior & Wheelchair 9-Ball Championships in Willingen, Germany.

In the junior boys division, Liu went undefeated to take top honors among the strong field of 32 players. In the girls division, Khodjaeva defeated reigning champion, Czuprynska, in the finals with a convincing score of 7-0. Meanwhile, Larsson received his sixth medal, and fourth gold medal, in the wheelchair division.

Over 30 countries were represented at this prestigious event and the Billiard Education Foundation coordinated international travel for the nine North American junior representatives: Brendan Crockett (USA), Chad Behnke (USA), Brady Behrman (USA), Manny Perez (USA), Brianna Miller (USA), April Larson (USA), Charles Guimont (CAN), Cody Ward (CAN), and Kayla Roloson (CAN).

Miller and Behnke both continued to day three of competition, finishing just one spot away from achieving a medal. The BEF congratulates our young North American players for their hard work and dedication. These junior players achieved their chance to compete in this world event through the junior state and national championships. 2013 marks the 25th Annual Junior National 9-ball Championships. Summer dates and location will be announced soon.
