No, they are multiple layers of finely sliced custom made ring billets that are painstakingly assembled under magnification to make each ring.
Wow, that actually sounds even more impressive and difficult than what I was picturing.
There's a reason Dave is blind up close without his magnifiers .
Just imagine spinning those rings on a jig so they line up perfectly.
Do that for two decades.
Nobody in the world is willing to do what he does.
A chain is hard enough.
Multiple arrows and slots forming his own design is just nuts.
