Best action pool room of all times:
711 in NYC. Johnson City had the publicity, but if you wanted to play the best of the best in the 1950's-1960's it wasn't Ames,--- it was 711 (for all those who were not born back then---711 was the address on 7th Ave.)

While living in Las Vegas and playing with my 13 year old son at the Cue Club for about a year period, everyone would tell me how four or five past world champion pool players would show up about 11pm or so to play one pocket. Very heavy money bets. The only name I remember is Buddy Hall.
