Is there any one source for Straight Pool Tournament results from the 1960's and 1970's?
Size of the field, playing format, list of who placed where.

Charles Ursitti's website is a good source. Click on the "History of Pool" sections for the 60's and 70's -- http://charlesursitti.com/
Besides there, look for old issues of The National Billiard News (original publisher, Earl Newby) and old rule books. You can also sometimes find results in tournament programs of the time -- that was back when tournaments actually had printed programs.
