Each table takes Daniel up to 10 weeks to handmake in his Wiltshire workshop, using ash wood for the frames and top-quality baize from the Hainsworth fabric mill in Yorkshire, while the balls are competition-standard Aramiths made by Saluc of Belgium, and the pocket plates are solid brass with leather surrounds.

Prices vary according to the complexity of design, but both the banana and doughnut tables are listed by Purling at $15,000 apiece. There is currently a three-month lead time on orders.

I would like to try a "down the rail" shot on the banana table. It looks like it might be fun to try out but I dont think buying one would interest me.

Looks like a novelty item that some rich person might like to have, one a side note
playing bank pool on the banana table might be fun for a short time anyway.

Pesonanlly I wouldn't pay a thousand for it, but I'm sure someone out their likes his work.
And if he can sell them, then more power to him.

These are just "art"...novelty...not pool tables really.

And to be honest, looking at the fit and finish...he isn't such a great craftsman. He makes his money off the novelty of the item, not superior craftsmanship.

Look at the hard edge around the ends of the rails in this picture. That should have been eased with a radius IMHO. As it is it is just an unfinished hard edge.

That’s the first thing I thought of too but there are bumps in the end rails to prevent that.
