Wondering if anyone has a piece of what looks to be red pearlescent rod to repair this Viking. Willing to pay. I tried masecraft already and they are outta stock. Don't really want to buy a full 12" piece plus shipping from Atlas if I don't have to. Any help appreciated.

Does anyone know the thread size that Viking uses to screw on their butt caps? I am in the process of making a new one and would like to make it to fit, rather than modify the tenon.

Looks like 18TPI from the picture, but that would bebe easy to figure out when you remove the buttcap.

I looked up the model, and found it is a F70 model. I then called Viking yesterday and the Production manager called back with the answer. It is a 7/8" x 14tpi thread for the butt cap. I am very happy with Viking's customer support.
