pocket fix on Olhausen

I have a out of spec pocket on a 4x8' Olhausen table. When I shoot a ball parallel with the rail to the pocket, if it hits outside of the mark on the rail, it is rejected. With the other corner pockets, I can hit as close to the tip and it will go in. Is there a reasonable fix? I am planning on getting a 4 1/2 x 9' Diamond or Brunswick table in a couple years, so I'd rather invest the $$ in a new table vs a costly fix. Do most table mechanics test pockets for such issues?

It is known as the "Olhausen rattle" due to facing material and the funnel type angles. +142 degrees

So I would need to have the rails redone? Any estimate on a cost?

A quality fix would require the following:
  • Extending the sub-rails
  • Replacing the cushions
  • Correcting the pocket angles
  • Installing new facings
  • Installing new cloth

This work could cost anywhere from $600-1500, depending on the following:
  • Your location
  • Who you select to do the work
  • Material selection
  • Any additional work that you choose to have done.
