EC80EC86-58FB-494E-A90E-0455A0AFA1B6.jpgI recently bought this Full Splice Blank from Cue Components with the intent of having a local cue maker making a wrapless cue out of it. My question is, are the ends of the points and the ends of the vaneers supposed to be cut off like this? I know it still needs to be turned down quite a bit but I don’t see how this would end up with a sharp point. What am I missing?

I am certain that those gaps were not disclosed before you purchased? You certainly seem surprised by them and unaware of there existence.

Are you guys serious? Have you ever tapered a cue?

I loathe Joe, truly. However, this blank will almost certainly be fine. What are the diameters at the nose and buttcap areas?

I asked on another forum and they said the same thing. They should sharpen up. As to size, 1.1" at joint and 1.35" at butt.
thank you.
