Hornbeam Shaft

What can anyone tell me about these hornbeam shafts I
see on the forum. I realize this is a different type of wood,
so my question is, how does it compare to the triple A hard
rock maple shafts?

I haven't ever shot with a hornbeam shaft but your post got me interested. I did a little research and it looks like hornbeam is a very tough/hard kind of wood and I would think it would work best for maybe a breaking cue/jump cue. alot tighter grain then maple i have some hornbeam with 50 to 80 growth rings
