what are all the types of tip pads used on ferrules? I know some are fibre and can soften the hit of a harder tip and can be used to protect the ferrule from getting damaged. But anyone use a plastic material? I know carbon fiber has been used as well. Pictures and the experience or benefits of using different materials other than the fibre would be greatly appreciated.
