I don't even have a cue for the first time in years (last week or so)

I keep looking out the blinds for the mail man

I remember doing the same thing when I was a little kid
only it was reindeer

I haven't played for 3 months now, sold all my cues
I got sick of the pool room scene

Everything was going ok till mark Gregory sold that table to Bily Incardone

He asked me why I didn't have one like his

Now I have a table coming in February so I started buying cues

Guess what I have coming today?and why ? selected it?

I also have 2 or 3 more scheduled to arrive before February

My wife wants to know whats wrong with only 1 cue at a time,
what should I tell her?
remember she is no dummy

Good thing I didn't call and see if you wanted to buy my Chris Nitti, I wouldn't want to get your wife mad at you, especially right before Christmas!

Enjoy the table when you get it, it's really going to be special.

You can tell her Jack needs cues too.

Congrats on checking off a bucket list item.
Tell her she gets a cut of all the action from your new table.
Now that you'll be playing more at home, you get to spend
more quality time with her.
That's actually why you got the table...
So you wouldn't have to be away from her for long.
In the long run, just think of all the money you save
in table time.
You're not getting any younger, and getting your own table
brings a joy to your life that can only be trumped by your
having met her.
Something along those lines.

Reindeer used to deliver your cues when you were a kid?

Well you could argue that you need more than one cue due to different types of cues for the job: break cue, jump cue, playing cue. Or that you need spares in case the unthinkable happens and you need to use the spare (kinda like a spare tire). Or you need extra cues for guests. I can probably come up with more good reasons if needed!

I love how you think!!
Sounds to me like the voice of experience.....

Dean....maybe Jerry can make you a cue as a limited edition that I've been telling him he really needs to periodically build at his own pace.

come on

Cues are beautiful works of art. But just because they are beautiful
doesn't mean that they are perfect in every way. To find one like that
is one in a billion. You have to be the luckiest person on the plant for
that to happen. I got that lucky once when I found you June, and for
me to be that lucky again on something as irrelevant as a cue would
be a true miracle.

Dean,

I know you have bought and sold a ton of cues and now you have gotten rid of all of them and are buying some more.

If you are going to buy just one cue to play with, I would suggest you "try" out a Becue with their Prime (pro taper) shaft. It won't be anywhere near as fancy as those you had, but you won't find a better "hit". I'm not telling you to run out and buy one, but if you have a chance to try one out, make sure you give it a whirl.

If I was in your area, I would let you try mine.
