Here's a pair of shafts from wood that was on a pair of 75 year old Brunswick house cues. They have that deep honey color!
Carefully turned down and seasoned for a while. It's a matched set. They're about 12.4mm and standard 10" pro taper. 3/8x10 and both are just about .840 -.850 at the joint with no collars. They roll straight and weigh about 3.5oz each.
The shafts are clean with no dings or nicks and the only blemish is a small brown "sugar" mark about a foot from the joint on one of them. They're fitted 3/4" Juma ferrules and my pressed and treated triangle tips. They hit like butter!!
You could always have your builder add inserts to fit your cue if you have 5/16 size Joints
They're both the same length (28.5")
