Hello all. I have been reading lots of old posts and I see there are many cue identification experts here. What are the basics of spotting a great deal? I know the fine details and years of knowledge might be above a beginners head but what are the top 10 things to looks for to weed out the basic production from the top end custom? Thank you.

You can try picking up a copy of The Blue Book Of Cues, to educatate yourself on cues and what to look for and some of the names to look for as a starter. If you can pick up the latest copy so it has more recent names. I think they're up to the Third Edition.

Hope this helps
