Your work is excellent. Fit and finish looks sweet, and I like that dark linen on there. I mostly play bar box, but can also appreciate the extension handle too. Nice cue, and very nice work. Matt D.

Nice looking cue and the extension looks great aswell
May I ask you bore the extension hollow to save weight and if so what does the extension weight in at
I make similiar type of extensions for Mezz cues and have found out a construction I like the best but I'm still interested to see what you came up with  I agree that most players should give a longer cue a shot. Makes a world of difference and I'm glad to see that trend picking up

Potter strikes again, now he wants to try my long cue
before i even get it

Just because he used to win big scores for me,just because
we have known each other for 60 years and both came from
Oak CliffTexas, and he happened to make one 3 foot putt
to save my bacon, just because of a few little things

Now he thinks he can test all of my cues for as long as he wants them

In his defense the cues do come back better than new, jack made the" libra "
cue and did not even sponsor me as a player so why does he expect to get all
of my cues

there is not a player alive who has seen Jack in the pool room in 20 years,
yet Mike the Cop ,and Fred "the peanut man" tell me to say hi to Jack

No sir,he will not be getting this long cue,not this one,I bought it for myself

This extension weighs 5 oz. @ 8 inches. I cored this extension with Myrtle which is light and stable. I have hollowed them before to save weight by gun drilling at the back end up to near the base of the pin and plugging the end. One of these cracked out in service.

I like the heavy cue or cue heavy,i don't know which i like best long or heavy or the combination

I talked with one of the filiino players yesterday,he plays with 23 oz and that is not uncommon

i honestly believe the light cue phenomena is over

i will never play a light cue again

unless of course i change my mind

I might still buy 58 inch cues with 19 oz but i want extensions of 2 to 8 inches with each one

honestly ,you guys need to take the experiment

JC can make you a great cue with extension and I think you will love it

JC made a SUPER cue for me which went to the head of the line when i get the urge to tenderize the rails on my table

THANKS for pointing me in his direction

Take care, adam

PS...can you tutor me on posting pics, i feel like writing a review on my "COOS CUE"

pictures are not my specialty
adam

i got my JC cue in the mail today

i have not hit it,but the finish and everything is about twice as good as the first cue you sent me
the wood is beautiful

This is a great looking feeling cue

i hope to get out tomorrow and hit it

Happy Customer
Dean

Consider this post to be a recommendation to buy one of john chaplin's cues

he does great custom work, his choice of woods is way up there
the fit and finish are as good if not better than most anyone

i think these long cues are not his normal work
but I love both that he made for me

Adam Orr bought one on my advice and as you can see he is happy

When someone buys this cue (See Jackpot's long cue review here) I have another matching shaft for it at yard sale prices. It's pro taper.

Is one of the shafts from the one I have pro taper? If not I’d be interested.

I think both the shafts you have are "Dean's taper" as is the one with this cue. They should be very close to the same.
