PS: Have you tried the Exams out on your sick modified table yet? I'd be curious to know what is possible from a solid player like you on a really tough table. Please let us know what kind of scores you can get if you feel like doing it.
I just set the table up for the exams. I'll be running through the drills and I'll post a video in a couple of weeks.
I look forward to seeing how high you can score on that killer table.

Today was the first day I've had completely free for a long time, so I spent most of it working on BU Exam II. I improved my previous best score by 5 points. Here's the video:

I feel like I can still do much better. I gave away some easy points (a missed kick and several missed safeties that I normally make), several of the banks were close (I need to practice those more), and I can do better with the jumps (I need to practice those a little more also).
Anybody else out there plan to work on the BU Exams this Holiday season?

Did you ever get a chance to run through the exams on your modified table? I'm curious to see how you do compared to the previous easier setup. This would be a good test of the table difficulty factor (TDF) comparison.

I have not ran through the exams yet, been busy playing pool. However my skills have improved because I'm finding myself running more tables. I was getting frustrated at one point and was going to shorten the depth to 1.75 just like the Diamond tables and keep the width at 4.25" so it is just a bit more difficult than the Diamond tables but I have decided to just leave it like it is. I may find time in a couple of weeks to run through the exams.

Even if you don't post videos, please post your scores after you get a chance to run through the exams on your ridiculously-tough table. I'm curious to see how much lower they will be compared to your previous best scores from the easier version of your table.

I finally got around to posting a 10-ball-ghost rating drill score on my new 9' table. 81 was the best I could do over a few days of attempts. This was great practice, and I plan to do more (until I can run a 10-pack). Here's the video:

I've been working on Exam II this past week, and I finally beat my previous best of 85 (by just 1 point). Here's the video:
Dr. Dave BU Exam II - Doctorate level - 86 - Feb, 2017
I was very disappointed by missing 5 of the safeties and 2 of the kicks ... those should be gimmies; but I was fairly happy with everything else. I hope to reach 90 in the not-too-distance future. If I don't blow it on the safeties and kicks, I think 90 is a realistic goal, even for a banger like me.

Practiced just playing for three weeks and did not practice any of the exam drills. I just wanted to see if I have improved without practicing the drills.
