I'm going to be in Seattle for a couple days and Tacoma for a couple days in September and was wanting to check out the pool halls.

Any info would be appreciated.

nothing spectacular... but there are some places to shoot

Tacoma: http://malarkeysonline.com/
haven't been but I hear good things, hosts pro's when they're in town

North of Seattle (Lake City): Golden Billiards http://billiardsforall.com/
small place in an out of the way sketchy neighborhood, but it's the only place in town that has Diamond 7' and 9' tables (alcohol not available). best place to go at night if your looking for good players or competition, can be hit/miss.

In the city of Seattle (proper) you have the following choices:

1) Parlor Live Seattle: www.parlorlive.com
This is aesthetically the nicest place, nice location, but only has 8' crown tables

2) Garage Billiards: www.garagebilliards.com
20+ old nine foot tables, avoid on weekends its very much a college crowd, rarely any players at this joint. Also has bowling in another area, nice place if not crowded.

3)Temple Billiards: 7 9' old tables, kept OK, small, avoid on warm days (no A/C); no competition. Fun little hipster bar to chill and shoot a bit.

4) Game Works: http://www.gameworks.com/
Haven't been here since they remodeled, but 9' pool tables are still in the middle of an adult arcade, nice casual place, but can be annoying if the arcade is busy. Pool and air hockey shouldn't be close together.

5) Ballroom: http://www.ballroomfremont.com/
Located Freemont, neighborhood north of Seattle, avoid this place late Th/Sat if you want to play pool, turns into a club/college/frat dance club, during the week it can be nice. 9' older tables, cloth in good shape.

Just outside of Seattle (Eastside 15-20 mins):

1) Parlor Billiards and Spirits (Bellevue): http://www.parlorbilliards.com/

One of the nicer and pricey places to play. ($15-$20/hr) They have 20 well kept 9' crown tables. Nice aesthetic place to play, good food. Avoid Fri/Sat late evenings this is an 'ultra lounge'. Generally wont' find too many competitive players here, but if your looking for a 'game' call and ask for Dan Louie the head Pro, he might be able to find you someone, or give you a lesson himself.

2) Mugshots Burger in Brew (Bellevue) http://www.mugshotsburgernbrew.com/ - classic dive bar with 8 7' Valley tables with fast well kept cloth. small town bar atmosphere, not a bad joint.

Good luck and message me before you come to town, I maybe around to give you a game.
