Is the shaft insert that predator used in their cues a standard thread or something special?
I need to make a shaft for one and the pin in the butt looks strange to me.

When I think of Predator cues. I believe the two main screws used are uni loc standard quick release and the Radial. Others are the ghost joint and bullet. I think those are used in the Icon cues.

Predator inserts will go in perfect if you keep your tolerances tight.

Thanks Mike ... Been a while since I did a uni-lock pin and insert.
Still have a note sheet on how big and how deep the hole in the shaft for the insert.

Its a great joint pin system but I like the simple old 3/8 - 10 pin for my cues.

Amen. I'm 50/50. I really like the uni loc quick release. For the screw into wood. Pretty hard not to like the 3/8x10 old school.
