Remove a G10 pin

I out my first cue together with a rosewood forearm and curly handle. I had no idea how the weight would work out. I put a 3/8-10 g10 pin and would like to change it to stainless to get a little more weight in the front. I know how to remove a metal pin but pretty sure that the g10 would not conduct heat. Any ideas short of just drilling it out and retap?

Hog off and drill out.

No choice. Drill/bore it out.
Re-plug . I suggest 1/2 13 as threaded plug.

the advice here is really the only way to replace it...............

Before you do it ... hit a few racks with the cue............ after you change the pin to SS..... hit a few more racks...............

I bet the hit is not as good with the SS pin..
