Crazy. It sure looks like a Gold Crown, maybe a 3? The hollowed out base looks to well done to be modified by a weekender. Special edition or prototype?
That side pocket casting DONT look gold crown to me other than the obvious ball box and ball storage difference.

AMF's had a red triangle logo and completely different metal trimwork. The GrandPrix was a good table but not quite in same league as the GC. Used to see them in bowling alley's that had pool tables. They seem to play just fine. That table in the OP's pic looks like a GC copy of some sort. That keystone-shaped piece of trim above ball rack would have the Brunswick "B" logo if it was made by Brunswick.AMF made a Gold Crown look-alike.
