Well, we didn't mind it too much when we were winning; so we need to improve where it is competitive. IMHO, it's not the number of countries involved that is the problem. The problem is that several of the European countries have government backed training programs that allows the players to train and compete and make a decent living. At least I hope they do. Americans have to sweat bullets to make a living playing pool. Any coaching or training comes out of their own pocket, and its hard enough to get by without that kind of expense.
On a side note, if Canadian players were allowed to compete on a Team North America, we'd probably still be winning.
