since "the rules" include having to buy a cue from each; I'll just list the ONE I am really gonna buy....that would be one made by Mr. Pat Diveney. If I were to buy for investments sake, I'm sure all the normal REALLY highend makers would work (Searing, Hercek, Szambotti, Black Boar, etc. etc. etc.), but I doubt I could bring myself to play with one of those. Diveney for me - though not cheap, won't be scared to have someone else breathe on it either!!!

Possibly not YOUR choices, but MINE just the same ...

Alex Brick
Bert Schrager
Verl Horn
Perry Weston
Mike Sigel

Not necessary ALWAYS in that order. It depends entirely
on each individual cue.

To date, every cue I have owned which was made by
the above named makers has been consistent in style,
craftsmanship, and playability.

I can't imagine asking for more from a Cue Maker.

alphabetically: Balabuhka,Southwest,Scruggs,Szamboti,szamboti Barry.

it is hard to believe that Barry has been making cues longer than Gus did.And that Tim Scruggs was making cues during the career of all 5 listed cuemakers.
These are my 5 in no particular order, including the first lady of pool cues.

I would find it hard to separate the Jerry from the Laurie Southwest,or judge between Barry and Gus.I would also hate to pick Tim Scruggs cues without acknowledging the contributions of Mike Cochran

There are several new cue makers, but they have not been around long enough.
